Shipping correction charges for seller-fulfilled returns

Sellers are responsible for any carrier shipping corrections on customer returns of seller-fulfilled orders caused by incorrect return label information.

There are two main reasons you may incur a carrier shipping correction for seller-fulfilled returns:

  • The dimensions, weight, or both, for your product return are incorrect.
  • Your return address is incorrect or invalid.

Incorrect dimension, weight, or both, for the returned product

If the product returned by the customer has physical attributes that do not match your product listing or outbound shipping, you will be charged or credited for the difference in cost between the label you paid for and the correct label cost.

You can use this carrier-specific information to input the correct attributes in Seller Central, which will be applied to your AlphaDiscounters Prepaid Return Label.

To update your product dimensions and weight on your product listing:

  1. Go to Manage Inventory.
  2. Select the product you would like to edit by clicking on the checkbox to the left of the ASIN.
  3. Click Edit which opens a pop-up screen for the selected ASIN.
  4. Click the Product Details
  5. Scroll down to:
  6. Item Thickness to fill in the height of the product.
  7. Maximum Weight Recommendation to fill in the most accurate weight for the product.
  8. Item Dimensions L x W to fill in the length and width of the product.
  9. Click Save and finish at the bottom.

To update your product dimensions and weight when purchasing shipping labels for the outbound shipment:

  1. Go to Manage Orders.
  2. Select the order you would like to purchase a shipping label for by clicking on the checkbox to the left of the ASIN.
  3. Click Buy Shipping.
  4. Scroll to Complete details of package shipment you want to buy.
  5. Under the packaging drop down list, fill in the product weight, height and length.
  6. Under Weight, fill in the product weight in pounds and ounces.
  7. Select a shipping service to deliver this product.
  8. Click Buy Shipping.

Note: If you selected multiple orders on step 2 and clicked Buy Shipping in Bulk, you will see each order listed, and you can now edit the weight and packaging for each order on the same screen. Buy Shipping will save your preferences for packaging and dimensions so you do not have to repeat this process every time you purchase a shipping label on Buy Shipping.

Incorrect or invalid return address

If your return address is undeliverable, the carrier will charge a 20 euro fee for every package that could not be returned. Your return address must be in the same country as the store you sell in, and must accept return packages.

To update your return address:

  1. Go to Return Settings.
  2. Click Manage Return Address.
  3. On the right, locate a box with the text “Do you have more than one return address? Manage your return address” and click the provided link.
  4. Once the pop-up appears, click Add a new address.
